About Us

About Us

Code & Bloom is a small, hands-on studio run by the two of us. We build websites, automations, and digital systems for businesses that want things done properly, without the jargon or overcomplication. Every project is approached collaboratively, with care, honesty, and a genuine focus on helping our clients move forward.

How Code & Bloom came to be

Code & Bloom grew naturally from how we both work.

Ben started out building websites and systems because he genuinely enjoys the problem-solving side of things. Turning ideas into something functional, improving how things work behind the scenes, and setting up systems that save time and reduce friction has always been the part he’s gravitated towards.

Connie comes from the other side. She’s focused on how things are presented, how content flows, and how people interact with what they see. She cares about clarity, tone, and making sure work doesn’t just function, but actually lands well with the people using it. The name Bloom is a nod to that, and to her love of flowers and things that are thoughtfully put together.

Over time, it became clear that combining those strengths made projects better. Not just technically sound, but easier to understand, easier to use, and more effective overall. Code & Bloom was created to bring both sides together in a way that feels natural, collaborative, and genuinely helpful to clients.

What Matters To Us

We don’t believe good digital work needs to be loud or complicated. We focus on a few simple principles and stick to them.

  • Build solid foundations before adding layers
  • Make things clear, not clever
  • Choose tools because they fit, not because they’re popular
  • Explain decisions in plain English
  • Create work that’s easy to live with long term

If something doesn’t make sense or isn’t the right approach, we’ll always be honest about it.

Meet Code & Bloom

Ben

Development, automation, and technical problem-solving

Ben looks after the technical side of Code & Bloom. That includes building websites, setting up automations, connecting systems, and making sure everything works reliably behind the scenes.

He enjoys solving practical problems and turning messy processes into clean, usable systems. Ben is hands-on with every project and likes building things that clients can understand, manage, and feel confident using.

If there’s something complex going on in the background, Ben’s usually the one untangling it.

Connie

Design, content writing, and client experience

Connie focuses on how things look, feel, and read. She works on layout, content structure, visual consistency, and making sure websites feel friendly and easy to use.

She brings a strong attention to detail and a people-first mindset to every project, helping shape work that feels considered rather than cookie-cutter. Connie also plays a big role in client communication and making sure projects feel organised and enjoyable from start to finish.

If something needs refining, simplifying, or making clearer, Connie’s usually on it.
